We began the year with automated publishing — with one-click you can now publish to both the Google Playstore & the Apple App Store. 🤯 

Our first few releases of 2020 also included the ability to add screen backgrounds (for some pro tips on designing those check out a few free design resources here) & the ability to set up required fields in forms.

We started the year with 6 team members total — oh my how things have changed. We now have 18 amazing people working here at Adalo. Wanna meet us?? Here we are!

To add an extra layer of complexity, February brought with it the release of Conditional Actions, these are perfect for when you only need an action to occur... sometimes. Learn more about Conditional Actions in the help documentation here.

PWAs first came on the scene in February, too. Short for Progressive Web App, it’s an app that you can add to your phone without downloading it from the app store!

Maps, anyone? We released our Map Component in March with the ability to customize your map to match your brand. 

“Make Group” and “Make List” were also released around this time — these actions are used for positioning & creating custom lists! You can also: 

• Ensure alignment through grouping
• Unlock additional settings on a single item through grouping
• Quickly create beautiful, customized lists
  

Adalo went fully remote at the end of March, so it seemed only fitting to host our first challenge to bring us all together — #NoCodeConnectsUs — an opportunity to make an app to help your communities adapt to COVID-19 & the challenges it presented.

We also introduced our Adalo Experts program, which has since seen over 100 completed projects and featured over 50 Experts. 👏

#TheFutureisNoCode. May brought together all the No-Code experts & settled the hyphen debate once and for all. We learned more about what interested founders to create no-code tools & what continues to inspire them. We heard from no-code makers around the world & their predictions about the space. Custom Actions made its grand debut, with the first ever opportunity for makers to call APIs outside Adalo to trigger actions, unlocking very powerful possibilities.

Lastly, where my math people at? This month we introduced several new math functions to supercharge your custom formulas!

Introduced our popular #TwoMinuteTuesdays, a quick two-minute video series to explain concepts, present features, or describe tricky workflows!

We unlocked insights into your apps with our In-App Analytics panel, learn about: Active Users over time, Sign Ups over time, User Frequency, User Location, Most Visited Screens, and Devices Used

With the social unrest in the United States, our team created the SRC (Social Responsibility Committee) to take action & raise awareness about the social justice issues & more that affect our world and how we want to make an impact on it.

July brought us a new challenge — #MakeaClone — to show off our cloning capabilities. Clones are perfect for creating templates & cloneable kits.

We launched our in-app Adalo Help Center to keep you all better up-to-date on everything Adalo right from inside the platform!

After months of work, we debuted our Component Marketplace on Product Hunt & introduced over twenty (20! 🤯) components for your apps. From audio players, to YouTube components, a Calendar & more — this was our largest single day release for the year.

We finished out Custom Actions by allowing Outputs, you can trigger an API call, get an output & use it in your Adalo app! 

One-click delete also made its way into your collections. Select all, or select some & clean up your data quickly.

🤑 Calling all Adalo-lovers — planning to stick around for awhile? We launched Annual Billing just for you to save on your year subscription. 

Our first of three third-party authentication systems was released. 👋 Sign-in with Google! Paving the way for one less password for your users.

Even more insights into your app with information like where your users are using your app & which app type is most popular.

October brought about a few big releases. The Collections API allows you to GET, PUT, DELETE & more — with this update, the sky is the limit & your app can be so much more powerful.

Our Cloneable Kits & Templates page where you can browse community related Adalo templates to help make the app of your dreams.

Our second single sign-on was released with our Sign-In with Apple Component. Coupled with the Google Sign-In & signing up has never been easier. 

The first of three Horizontal Lists were added to the left panel, a big win for horizontal scrollers everywhere. Check out our cloneable kit to get some beautifully designed screens using our horizontal lists.

And we kicked off our partnership with #100DaysofNoCode to challenge y'all to build & launch an app in 100 days. Did you accept the challenge?

The most customizable horizontal list was released: our Horizontal Card List. With customization options from rounded corners, additional buttons, title placements & more — almost any type of horizontal list is now possible.

In the spirit of being thankful in November, we launched our showcase page with several examples of amazing apps that have all been #MadeinAdalo.
